Boat deliveries
A delivery is always planned together with the customer. Some transports are more demanding than others. Both because of the boat but also because the weather is beyond our control.
Our experience suggests that there are a number of things that need to be in place before we go to sea. The boat must be weatherproof, it must be seaworthy and in good condition. The engine should be serviced by a mechanic and for sailboats the rig must be well sailable and able to withstand the wind we encounter.
So an agreement consists of a mutually agreed contract that also contains information about the boat which is important for us to know before departure. Boats for sale have often been in port for a while, so if there is something wrong with the boat, it will be revealed on the way to the new port. Then it is good to know that the crew has encountered most of the situations that can arise.
On-the-road experience
Joining the journey can be very useful for you as a new owner. You will then become well acquainted with the boat under expert guidance .
Since we know the coast well, we can also recommend stretches of the trip that are suitable, depending on how seasick you are... It's no fun to be seasick. But being able to get to know your own boat and become one of the crew along the way is a good idea. Soon you'll be out on your own and then basic tips are good to have in your back pocket.
HARBOR COURSE AND BASIC SAILING
Our skippers also work as instructors so you meet an educational person who can explain things to you so you understand the message. As well as teach you a few things you didn't think you needed to know.
We set aside extra time to visit two or three ports before arriving at our home port. This is so that you can get expert help getting the boat in and out of port. We emphasize what you need to know BEFORE entering an unknown port. What problems can wind and currents cause when you are in narrow waters
The price for this depends on how much training you want, but 1500/hour will be added to the contract price unless otherwise agreed.
